ssh is installed by default in !MacOS, and you can use it by opening Terminal.app (installed by default), or installing [[https://www.iterm2.com/][iTerm]], a more customizable replacement terminal.
---++ Windows

You can get ssh on the commandline by installing one of the [[CommandlineTools][POSIX environments for windows]] and installing SSH with the appropriate package manager, but there are also windows-native ssh consoles available, including:
   * [[https://www.putty.org/][PuTTY]] (Widely Used)
   * [[https://archive.codeplex.com/?p=terminals][Terminals]] (Also available through [[https://chocolatey.org/packages/terminals][Chocolatey]])

If ssh is not already installed on your system, you should be able to install it using your default package manager, apt, yum, or emerge.
