---+ Software Requests

Software requests should be emailed to linghelp@u. Please allow two weeks of leadtime if you have a firm deadline.

Your request should include the following:

   * The name of the package
   * Where it can be obtained
   * The path it should be installed under. Take a look at the directory structure under =/NLP_TOOLS= and see where it would best fit. (This does not apply for Perl, Python, or Ruby modules, which go in their own special locations.)
   * Any important license restriction

Tips/tricks on building the software, if you've attempted it, are always appreciated. Some packages can be quite cantankerous.
