To setup lkb on patas/dryas, log in and run the following command:

install-lkb

Once this is done please log out and log back in to patas to ensure all variables are refreshed.

<br />When logging into patas please ensure xforwarding is properly enabled. Depending on system and ssh version this may be a "-x" or "-X" or "-y" or "-Y" flag. Most commonly it is "-X", but at least on some macs, -Y seems to work best.<br /><br />ie "ssh -X username@dryas.ling.washington.edu"

Further tips:

You need an x-windows manager on your local computer. For Macs, this is usually XQuartz.

Dryas usually has less traffic so is probably the better choice for this.
